What a fantastic display of skill and athleticism today in Dungannon at the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Indoor 5-a-side Girls' Football Heat 1. Edendork, Roan St Patrick's, Derrylatinee St Francis and St Patrick's Dungannon fought it out in section 1, with Roan winning all of their games to top the group and qualify for the semi-finals along with St Patrick's Dungannon in 2nd place. In section 2, St Mary's Aughnacloy, St Mary's Cabragh and St John's Moy competed excellently with Cabragh and Aughnacloy qualifying out of the group. After two entertaining semi-finals, Cabragh and Roan paired off in the final.
An amazing battle ensued with two evenly-matched sides giving their all, finishing on 3-3 at the final whistle. After a long spell of extra-time, it was the Cabragh girls who came up with the 'Golden Goal' to win on the day and qualify for the County Finals in March.
Well done to all children today who represented their schools so well and had a very enjoyable day.
