Quiz Final 2019
Monaghan’s luxurious Hillgrove Hotel was the scene of today’s highly-coveted Ulster Quiz Final.
Tyrone had two schools representing the Red Hand county, namely: St. Colmcille’s P.S. Carrickmore (2018 Tyrone Quiz Shield Winners) and St. Teresa’s P.S. Loughmacrory - a real parish affair.
The Carmen team, mentored by Master Gormley, gave a tremendous account of themselves. However, despite their terrific efforts, St. Teresa’s P.S. Loughmacrory (mentored by Master Gallagher) scored so heavily that they not only won the Tyrone Shield - awarded to the highest scoring Tyrone school - but they came 2nd out of all Ulster Primary Schools. They registered a remarkable 50/60. This is a truly astounding accomplishment!
Well done Master Mickey Gallagher and Darragh, Caolan, Michael and Clara. Clearly a brainy bunch!!
