Congratulations to all our pupils who played at halftime in the Ulster Championship game between Cavan and Tyrone in Breffni Park on Sunday in front of over 10,000 spectators. Thank you to the Primary Schools involved with their help in contacting parents.
The boys gave a brilliant display of their talents and footballing skills, showing why they were selected from skills day. They were a real credit to their schools, clubs and families on the day. Allianz Tyrone Cumann na mBunscoil hope to see them in the years ahead wearing the same jersey with distinction.
We would like to thank Cavan Cumann na mBunscoil for hosting us on the day and looking after all the arrangements. They were very welcoming hosts. Also to the Ulster Council and all their coaches for the continued support they give to Cumann na mBunscol, especially with the work they put into organising the half time games and looking after the families of the children who play.
Finally a big thank you must also go to the Tyrone County Board for once again providing the jersies the boys who played on Sunday got to wear and keep. I’m sure all of them will treasure this brilliant souvenir along with the great memories of an amazing day. We hope all the families enjoyed a wonderful day out. We even had the bonus of witnessing a brilliant senior championship game, with Tyrone eventually coming out on top by the smallest of margins after a titanic extra time battle.
