On Friday 26th April, five schools took part in their Cumannna mBunscol Heat B group in Fintona.
The five schools involved were;
• St Lawrence’s Fintona
• St Colmcille’s Carrickmore
• St Dympna’s Dromore
• St Conor’s Omagh
• St Mary’s Killyclogher
The five schools all took part in a very well organised and entertaining tournament. The group stages were very tight with some great action,with each team putting in a great effort.
All five schools got a chance to play each other once and that ensured plenty of playing time and some quality football was on show throughout the day.
In the end after the morning heats it was Dromore and Fintona who progressed to the final. It was a game befitting the quality of the day with both teams playing some excellent football. But there could only be one winner and it was St Dympna’s Dromore who came out as worthy winners after going unbeaten throughout.
We would like to thank all of the five schools for their participation, behaviour and conduct on the day. They were a real credit to their schools. We wish Dromore the very best of luck in the Tyrone Finals Day.
