Whilst there was no opportunity for 2 pointers and goalkeepers were confined to the semicircle there certainly was no shortage of goals with the net bulging 82 times. Each school was guaranteed 6 games, and the 56 players present displayed an amazing array of talent with high catching, fantastic reflex saves, powerful & delicate finishing as well as numerous blocks the order of the day.

The final between St Lawrence’s P.S. Fintona & St Ronan’s P.S. Recarson was very competitive, however St Lawrence’s scoring power & physical strength was enough to see them emerge as the winners, they now progress to the County Final on Tuesday 11th March.

Congratulations to the following squad members.

Thanks to Mr Fabian McGlone who was a very impartial referee for all games, however I’m sure that he would agree that his task was made easy due the fact that not a single player or teacher as much as contested a decision throughout the day.  Well done to all players especially the victorious St St Lawrence’s Squad:

Enda Gallen, Pascal McCarney, Sean, Oisin, Cathal, Conor Matthew, Oliver, Daniel
