The day was filled with excitement and intense competition as schools battled for the coveted title of Tír Eoghain Indoor Champions 2025. The event was expertly organized by Mickey Quinn, whose efforts ensured that everything ran smoothly throughout the day.
The teams were split into two groups, with the participating schools being:

• St. Patrick's PS Gortin
• St. Scire's PS Trillick
• Christ The King PS Omagh
• St. Mary's Pomeroy

The format saw each team playing in a round-robin format within their respective groups. This ensured that each team had multiple opportunities to showcase their skills and qualify for the knockout stages.
In Group 1, St Mary's Pomeroy emerged as the group winners, showcasing great teamwork and determination in their matches. They topped the group and secured a place in the first semi-final against St Colmcille's Carrickmore, who finished second in Group 2. Pomeroy proved their strength by securing a victory in this semi-final, progressing to the final in style.
In Group 2, St Mary's Ballygawley finished at the top, playing impressively throughout their games. However, their path to the final was blocked by St Patrick's PS, Gortin in the semi-final. Gortin played a fantastic game, ultimately defeating Ballygawley girls to earn their place in the final.
The final match saw St Mary's Pomeroy facing St Patrick's PS, Gortin in a highly anticipated showdown. The game was a thrilling encounter, with both teams showing immense skill and determination.
However, it was St Mary's Pomeroy who came out on top, defeating Gortin to be crowned the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Tír Eoghain Indoor Champions 2025.
St Mary's Pomeroy’s victory means they will now represent Tír Eoghain at the Ulster Championship next week, where they will face the county champions from all over the province in the prestigious competition held at Meadowbank, Magherafelt.
This is a fantastic achievement for the team and a testament to their hard work and dedication throughout the competition.
The day’s event was a tremendous success, with great performances from all teams. The players displayed remarkable skill, sportsmanship, and determination throughout the tournament. It was a wonderful showcase of the talent within Tír Eoghain's primary schools and highlighted the importance of grassroots Gaelic football in nurturing young players.
