Today's indoor 5 aside boys' football heat took place in the Loughview Sports centre in Dungannon and featured teams from St. Mary's Cabragh, St. Patrick's Dungannon, St. Mary's Aughnacloy, Edendork PS, Roan St. Patrick's PS Eglish and Derrylatinee PS. In an action packed morning, each school played each other once and the top four teams then went forward to the semi-finals. Roan topped the group with Cabragh and Edendork making up the second and third placed teams. Derrylatinee took the last semi-final place.
Well done to Dungannon and Aughnacloy for a great effort today.
In the first semi-final Roan continued on their rich vein of form and despite a valiant effort by Derrylatinee, the Eglish lads were worthy winners. It was a much closer affair in the second semi-final with the Cabragh boys narrowly coming out on top.
Killeeshil against Eglish is usually a close hard fought affair and today was no different. The tackling, blocking and competitive football was first class and at the end of the game Eglish came out on top. Commiserations to the Cabragh lads and well done to the Eglish team who will compete in the County Finals.
