Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Camogie Finals 2025
History was made today at the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol Indoor Camogie Finals as Gaelscoil Eoghain Cookstown were crowned county champions for the first time in their history!!
A fantastic day of camogie from heat winners from around the county: Roan St Patrick's Eglish, St Patrick's Dungannon, St Ronan's Recarson, St Colmcille's Carrickmore, St Mary's Ballygawley and Gaelscoil Eoghain all fighting it out in a round-robin format.
After an unbelievably competitive round of games, Carrickmore topped the group with the Eglish girls in 2nd place, Ballygawley in 3rd and Gaelscoil Eoghain in 4th.
The 1st of the semi-finals was simply breathtaking with Carrickmore and Gaelscoil Eoghain going to extra time before a lengthy period of golden goal time before the Cookstown girls struck to the net to knock-out the holders who were fantastic today.
In the 2nd semi-final, Roan St Patrick's played St Mary's Ballygawley in a great game that saw 6 great goals with the Eglish girls shading it on a 4-2 score line.
The final was incredibly tight but it was the Gaelscoil Eoghain girls who hit the net with a minute on the clock to secure an historic win for their school beating the excellent Eglish girls on a 2-1 score line.
A massive thanks to Hurling Development Officers Damhlaic Rushe and Colm Dillon for officiating today and to the Allianz Cumann na mBunscol officers who organised the fixtures and venue.
Good luck to Gaelscoil Eoghain who will represent the county at the Ulster Finals later this term!
